The International WeLoveU Foundation has donated 69 gas stoves and cylinders to the communities of Sir Lowry's Pass and Macassar.

국제위러브유재단은 Sir Lowry's Pass와 Macassar 지역사회에 가스레인지와 실린더 69개를 기증했습니다.
Mayeko said the disaster risk management centre identified these households as the ones needing the most help.
"Having enquired from the flood victims as to what was needed the most, we were informed that kitchen items were the most in demand. People would've been given food but have nowhere to cook or even eat the food. So, that is why we decided to prepare gas stoves and cylinders as a sustainable approach to their challenges."

The Area East Head for Disaster Risk Management (DRM), Onele Ndesi, thanked the foundation and mentioned that the DRM volunteers provided crucial assistance during the floods.
“We are grateful and appreciate this gesture. We thank the foundation of behalf of the City for helping our communities becoming more resilient.”

Xolani Williams of the Human Settlements department also extended a word of thanks and encouraged the community to take full advantage of the help they are receiving.
One of the benefciaries, Grace Davids, said that her family of four had completely lost everything during the floods. “It’s been a major struggle and I have been constantly so stressed. This donation will make a big difference in our lives and I pray that may God bless the sponsors for helping us,” she said.
